Discover how the Titan (CDSP) Algorithm Transformed a 10.67% Loss into a 98.42% Gain
Learn how to separate the wheat from the chaff
I recently posted the following upgrade announcement.
I promised at the end of the post that I would provide practical examples of its application as we progress.
I subsequently posted the following as an early example of how it can be an especially useful tool to help streamline the FULL-ACTION (BONUS) sheet.
I explained how the Titan (CDSP) algorithm can be a particularly valuable tool to wield, especially when faced with an overwhelming number of contenders racing in a single day. As the flat season gains momentum, the influx of race meetings to sift through will only increase. Therefore, any tool that effectively distinguishes between potential contenders and non-contenders becomes increasingly welcome.
Considering the recent performance downturn in both SYS3 and SYS3 (Pace), it's prudent to explore alternative methods to diversify our betting strategies. With this objective in mind, let's delve into another practical application of the Titan (CDSP) algorithm using today's FULL-ACTION (BONUS) sheet.
The method I'll use here is essentially the same as what I showed in Video 06: Above Average SPEEDGE Value Method from my free course, available here:
In Video 06 of my free course, titled "Above Average SPEEDGE Value Method," I demonstrate the use of Excel's Above Average function. Interestingly, I don't just apply it once, but twice for increased precision. Now, I'll employ the same technique, but instead of using it on the SPEEDGE column, I'll apply it to the Titan (CDSP) column on the FULL-ACTION (BONUS) sheet. Allow me to elaborate.
If I select the entire Titan (CDSP) column on today's FULL-ACTION (BONUS) sheet, I find that the average score is 68.53. This indicates that any horse with a Titan (CDSP) score above 68.53 today has an above-average reading. Applying Excel's Above Average function, using the same method demonstrated in Video 06 of my free course, the average reading from the remaining horses is now 77.297. Therefore, I plan to remove any remaining horses with Titan (CDSP) scores below 77.297. After doing so, here are the remaining entries:
This approach significantly streamlined the FULL-ACTION (BONUS) sheet from 66 candidates down to just 14. Out of the initial 66, 6 were non-runners. Had we backed all 60 remaining horses on the FULL-ACTION (BONUS) sheet, it would have resulted in an overall loss of 6.4 points at Betfair SP. However, focusing on the 14 selected candidates in this example, we generated a profit of 11.16 points at Betfair SP, with 4 winners from 14. If I slightly raised the cutoff level to a neat figure like 80, we would have been left with the following selections:
This led to 3 solid winners out of 12, generating a profit of 11.81 points at Betfair SP. In fact, the return on investment (ROI) was an impressive 98.42%, just shy of hitting the 100% mark!
As with any method or system, it won't yield rewards every single day. However, it's undoubtedly a valuable technique worth sharing, especially for those who appreciate practical methods to efficiently sift through numerous candidates in a short amount of time.
