Titan (CDSP): Quality over Quantity
A practical example of how to apply the Titan (CDSP) algorithm
Today posed a challenge for the FULL ACTION (BONUS) sheet (and SYS3). Bank Holiday racing, with its sheer volume, often presents a feast or famine scenario! Last Bank Holiday, we enjoyed a feast; today, however, we faced a famine. Nonetheless, for those who prefer a more cautious approach, the new Titan (CDSP) algorithm provides a useful tool to streamline selections. Focusing solely on the horses with the two highest scores on the Titan (CDSP) algorithm today (scores of 86 and 87) would have reduced the FULL ACTION (BONUS) sheet to just 5 horses from 77 (after removing 4 non-runners). Two of these five emerged victorious, with another finishing second (half a length behind the winner).
If we look at the next highest Titan (CDSP) score today, which was 85, we find these two selections, both of which secured second-place finishes.
Joy Choi, the 11/8f, narrowly missed out on victory, finishing just a head behind the winner. Additionally, Onemorefortheroad claimed second place at 5/2jf odds.
Despite the intense Bank Holiday Monday racing schedule, only one winner emerged at double-digit odds on the FULL ACTION (BONUS) sheet, Jacquelina at 17.38 (BSP).
Given the circumstances, we could have used another upset at favourable odds to prevent the FULL ACTION (BONUS) sheet from enduring a Bank Holiday bloodbath.
Today provides a prime example of how the Titan (CDSP) algorithm can prioritise quality over quantity, which can be a particularly valuable tool to wield, especially when faced with an overwhelming number of contenders racing in a single afternoon.
